What if we could support action prioritisation for resources provision and planning by using emerging ICT technologies?
Currently, the management of resources (e.g. energy, water, land, etc.) in urban and rural areas becomes a struggle for the public administration authorities. Academic research and entrepreneurship seem not to contribute enough towards a flexible governance scheme that should also include citizens’ support and collaboration. Additionally, the utilisation of cutting-edge Information and Communication Technologies will leverage existed processes towards Smart Cities and Smart Governance. The work explores how the use of Cloud IoT address these challenges.
